What is on the shelf

The cigarillo selection at Pair leans heavily Cuban. Cohiba sits at the centre of the shelf — Mini, Club, Shorts, White and a steady rotation of limited tins from recent years. Montecristo follows with the Mini, Club, Short and the lighter Open Mini and Open Club. Romeo y Julieta covers the Mini, Club and Puritos formats, Partagas brings the Mini, Club and Serie tins, and Trinidad and Quintero add their respective Shorts and Puritos. Davidoff is the one non-Cuban house on the shelf — Mini Cigarillos in Gold, Silver and Nicaragua tins, dry-cured and machine-made for a different kind of smoke. EGM rounds out the shelf as a smaller boutique line.

How to choose

Three practical routes.

By length. Mini formats (≈80–85 mm, around 15 minutes) work well for an espresso break. Club and Shorts (≈87–96 mm, 20–25 minutes) give you more of the blend. Puritos and Panatella-shaped cigarillos run longer and read closer to a small cigar.

By house. If you already know the full-size cigars from a Cuban marca, the cigarillo from the same house carries a recognisable echo of that profile — milder, shorter, but the same lineage.

By tin size. Most cigarillos at Pair come in tins of 5, 10 or 20. A tin of 20 is the standard "have one in the pocket, one with coffee" purchase; the smaller tins are useful for trying a new line without committing to the full pack.

Stored, not just stocked

Every tin is held in our calibrated humidor at 65–72% relative humidity and 18–20°C, monitored continuously and serviced on a routine. Cigarillos arrive sealed, but the tins live in the same conditions as our boxed cigars — what you collect from us is fresh, not last year's stock that has spent a summer in a warehouse.

The lounge

Half of Pair is a fully functioning cigar lounge — open every day from 11 AM to 1 AM, the same hours as the boutique. You can buy a tin at the counter, open it ten metres away, and smoke a cigarillo with a coffee or a pour without leaving the building. Cutters are not required for most cigarillo formats, but torch lighters, soft-flame lighters and ashtrays are part of the lounge.
