Cuaba is the Cuban house devoted to figurado shapes. Every cigar is tapered at one or both ends, which changes the draw and the way the blend opens. Cut the head conservatively and allow the narrow foot to light gradually. The larger Diadema-style formats need far more time than the compact Divinos.

The same Cuban house can feel very different from one vitola to another. A Petit Corona or Corona offers a direct reading of the blend; a Robusto adds body; Churchill and Double Corona formats need more time and patience. Condition and storage also matter, especially for boxes that have had time to rest.
